Following the imposition of US tariffs on steel and aluminium from the EU, the economic bloc intends to introduce retaliatory tariffs on products from America from July 1st, 2018. Among the goods the EU wants to penalise with tariffs are Bourbon whiskey. As our infographic shows, three of the main importers of bourbon whiskey are in the EU: Spain, the United Kingdom and Germany. According to the Distilled Spirits Council In 2017, they imported this specific brand worth US$127.6 million. This corresponds to a share of 35.2% of total bourbon exports.
