This term describes the application of modern computer technologies to better understand the human brain.  <\/p>\n<p>Large amounts of brain data, for example from imaging techniques such as MRI, are analysed and simulated using special software. This makes it possible to visualise and better understand brain processes. In everyday practice, the focus is often on detecting or specifically treating diseases such as Alzheimer's or epilepsy earlier.<\/p>\n<p>A vivid example: Researchers use supercomputers to create virtual models of the brain. With these models, they test how certain medications might affect the brain \u2013 thereby saving time and animal testing. <\/p>\n<p>Computerised neuroscience helps to lay the groundwork for new therapies or innovative applications in the field of artificial intelligence.
