The Robot Operating System (ROS) is a special software platform developed to simplify robot programming and control. Instead of programming each robot completely from scratch, developers can use ROS to access ready-made \u201ebuilding blocks\u201c that already provide specific functions such as navigation, object recognition, or gripping.<\/p>\n<p>A good example: Imagine a company wants to use driverless transport robots in its warehouse. Thanks to ROS, developers can access existing software modules, for example, for obstacle detection or route planning. These modules can be combined according to the building block principle and adapted to one's own needs. This saves time and costs because not everything has to be developed from scratch.<\/p>\n<p>ROS is now a standard tool in modern robot development and is used worldwide by companies and research institutions.
