These figures only include refugees under the mandate of the UNHCR. If Palestinian refugees under the mandate of UNRWA (some of whom have been living in Lebanon for 70 years) are included, the number rises to 250 refugees per 1,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>Although Turkey ranks only third in relation to its population, it is the country that has taken in the most refugees overall.
