Unsurprisingly, that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/topics\/2378\/syria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Syria ravaged by war<\/a> was most affected by the costs of violence, at 68 percent of GDP.
