With courage, you are unbeatable – A story from the Neflental

A new spring day begins in the Neflental. The sun carefully pushes the last wisps of fog from the gentle fern meadows of Immergrün. The wind rustles softly through the giant bracken fern, which stands high above the small wooden houses. The roofs are bursting with colour, as herbs that smell of mint, chives, and violets grow everywhere. Between the stalks, the meadow gnomes dart barefoot, laughing and playing with the curious goats and excited chickens. Above it all lies a feeling of new beginnings.

A day full of courage in the Neflental

Rosa Immergrün wakes up early. Outside, dewdrops glint like tiny stars in the grass. Today she is supposed to go alone for the first time to the Violet Clearing, far beyond the tallest ferns. Many say the clearing is enchanted. Some even claim that at night, the old statue in the middle whispers secrets softly. Rosa Immergrün is curious, but also a little anxious. But she remembers the words she heard last night: „With courage, you are unbeatable! Dare to try, you can do it!“

After breakfast, Rosa Immergrün packs a small bread roll, an apple and her lucky charm into a basket. She quietly says „See you later“ to her family on the Immelgrün fern meadows. She knows the first part of the path well. The fern stalks sway in the wind, whispering encouragement to her. At every bend, she meets someone who smiles at her. In the distance, the goats bleat friendly greetings. Everything feels like a grand adventure.

The violet clearing awaits

Soon Rosa Immergrün will leave behind the familiar meadows and venture onto unknown paths. The bracken ferns grow ever denser and taller. Suddenly, a cloud passes in front of the sun. Rosa Immergrün hesitates. But then she thinks of the violet glade, which now shines in violet, sunny yellow, and leaf green. She gathers all her courage and continues on her way. The path becomes narrow, but she remains brave.

Behind a particularly large archway of ferns, the clearing opens up. Thousands of violets and fresh crocuses bloom there, their colours glowing in the sun's rays. In the middle of the violet clearing stands a moss-covered statue, ancient and mysterious. Tiny sunbeams strike the grey stones directly on the statue's eyes. It looks as though it is smiling.

A bold step for Rosa Immergrün

Rosa Immergrün feels her heart beating faster. She sits down in front of the statue, eats her bread and simply looks around in amazement. The wind strokes the blooming violet clearing and carries her name. Suddenly, a small bird flies out of the fern and flutters anxiously around her. Its wing is injured. Rosa Immergrün is afraid of hurting it, but she remembers: With courage, you are unbeatable!

Carefully, she gathers all her courage and helps the bird. She speaks gentle words of encouragement. Finally, it can fly away again. At this moment, Rosa Immergrün feels a deep joy. She now knows: Whoever is brave can achieve more than they thought possible.

What do we learn from this?

Sometimes a new path is full of worries. But if you dare, you'll realise how strong you are. Rosa Immergrün showed how courage makes the heart grow bigger. You are not alone, because on your journey you will always find friends in the Neflental – and in your own life. With courage, you too are unbeatable!
