Strong with Confidence: Rosie the Periwinkle and the Adventure on the Mirror Pass
Spring begins in the Neflental. Crocuses and violets are sprouting everywhere. The violet clearing glows in delicate violet, bright sun yellow, and fresh green foliage. A gentle wind blows through the valley, and sunbeams dance on the moss. In the middle of the violet clearing stands a statue. Its ancient gaze shines pearly grey as sunbeams touch its eyes. It is the time when everyone finds new courage.
A plan and a promise
Rosa Immergrün is sitting with her friends. They are laughing and telling stories. Suddenly, someone mentions the Mirror Pass, the icy mountain path. It is so smooth that it reflects the blue sky. Many consider it too dangerous. No one from the valley has climbed up there this spring.
„They say the ice is as slippery as soap!“ someone shouts. „Whoever slips here first will never make it to the summit.“ A hesitation ripples through the group. But the statue on the Violet Clearing seems to wink at them. Rosa Immergrün listens to her inner self and feels: She wants to take the chance.
Setting off for the Spiegel Pass with confidence
The next morning, everyone packs their rucksacks with warm cloths and a portion of courage. The sun shines so clearly that the mirror's ice crystal glitters. Rosy Periwinkle sets off. Small, friendly birds flutter around her. „Don't be afraid!“ calls one. „We trust you!“
The higher they climb, the colder the air becomes. Their feet tremble a little. But Rosa Immergrün remembers the promise: those who remain trusting and brave will reach their goal. So she climbs carefully, placing one foot in front of the other, without rushing.
The steep path and the power of self-confidence
The mirror pass gleams particularly brightly today. It looks like a ribbon painting the sky onto the mountain. A gust of wind comes, and for a moment Rosa Immergrün sways. She slips a few centimetres. Her heart is pounding in her chest. She thinks: „Can I do this? What if I fall?“
But then she remembers the smile on the violet clearing and how her friends accompanied her. She speaks quietly to herself: „I can do this. I will not give up.“ She trusts in her strength and carefully continues to balance. The sun now shines warmer on her back.
Arrival at the summit and the radiant feeling afterwards
Suddenly, it's done. Rosa Immergrün is at the top of the pass. The ice shimmers in all colours – violet, yellow, green, and pearl grey. Far below, she sees the violet clearing glowing. She feels brave and content, proud of what she has achieved.
The journey back is almost like flying. Rosa Immergrün laughs because the fear has disappeared. She now knows that self-belief makes you strong. Sometimes you just have to dare to take a step.
