LiDAR steht f\u00fcr \u201eLight Detection and Ranging\u201c und beschreibt eine Technologie, mit der Roboter ihre Umgebung erkennen k\u00f6nnen. Hier sendet ein LiDAR-Sensor Laserstrahlen aus und misst, wie lange das Licht braucht, bis es auf ein Objekt trifft und zur\u00fcckkehrt. So entstehen pr\u00e4zise dreidimensionale Karten der Umgebung.<\/p>\n<p>In der Robotik wird LiDAR eingesetzt, damit Roboter Hindernisse erkennen, navigieren und selbstst\u00e4ndig arbeiten k\u00f6nnen. Besonders autonome Staubsaugerroboter nutzen diese Technik. Sie \u201escannen\u201c w\u00e4hrend der Fahrt die Wohnung, erfassen M\u00f6bel, W\u00e4nde und sogar herumliegende Gegenst\u00e4nde.
