SLAM beschreibt die F\u00e4higkeit von Maschinen, sich gleichzeitig selbst in einer unbekannten Umgebung zu orientieren und eine Karte dieser Umgebung zu erstellen \u2013 und das alles in Echtzeit.<\/p>\n<p>Stellen Sie sich vor, ein Roboter-Staubsauger f\u00e4hrt zum ersten Mal durch Ihre Wohnung. Mithilfe von SLAM erkennt er, wo genau er sich befindet und erstellt dabei eine digitale Karte Ihrer R\u00e4ume. So wei\u00df er, welche Fl\u00e4chen er schon gereinigt hat und welche noch fehlen. Das gleiche Prinzip kommt auch bei autonomen Fahrzeugen, Drohnen oder in der Industrie zum Einsatz, wenn sich Maschinen eigenst\u00e4ndig in neuen Umgebungen zurechtfinden m\u00fcssen.<\/p>\n<p>Dank Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) werden Roboter deutlich effizienter und flexibler in ihrer Arbeit.
